Excerpts from the Arab and Iranian Media & Analysis of US Policy in the Region

A US led assault on Libya would likely prove utterly destabilizing for Tunisia – not to mention Libya

This sounds good on paper maybe in DC and NYC…. but a US led assault on Libya would prove to be utterly destabilizing for Tunisia – not to mention libya – as currently imagined… in my view.

I have a piece on this shortly coming out that argues strongly against this “trend” in decision making circles in the US.

From the NYT:

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has presented the White House with the most detailed set of military options yet for attacking the growing Islamic State threat in Libya, including a range of potential airstrikes against training camps, command centers, munitions depots and other militant targets.
