“First ever” Hamas-Dahlan camp meeting in Beirut over worsening situation in Ain El-Helweh

On September 16, the Al-Akhbar daily newspaper carried the following report: “A Hamas-Dahlan meeting was held in Beirut last week where an agreement was reached on considering the Ain el Helweh camp as constituting a “red line…” The meeting between the adversaries of the Palestinian Authority head, Mahmoud Abbas, lasted for four hours and was held in a building facing the Palestinian embassy in Beirut. This is the first time where an official meeting was held in the Lebanese capital between the Islamic Resistance movement, Hamas, and parties affiliated to the Fatah sacked official, Mohammad Dahlan…”
