An Alliance of minorities: Tea Party MPs in Iran also want to impeach their president like Tea Party reps in USA

On August 27, the reformist daily E’temad reported: “The representative who even failed to gather signatures for an interrogation of the president is now in the business of impeaching Hassan Rouhani on the grounds of incompetence. Yesterday, Hamid Rasa’i tried to give a crushing answer in response to the parliamentary vice president, who said, “Instead of interpellating the ministers, the representatives should get around to the backlogged bills and plans.” His answer, however, was so harsh that it is not far-fetched to think that in the upcoming days, he will be rebuked by his friends. Hamid Rasa’i wrote this on his personal Instagram page: “The performance of the government has gotten past interpellating the ministers. The Majlis only has two backlogged tasks: one is reviewing the bill of the nuclear agreement, the JCPOA, which the government is afraid of presenting to the Majlis, and another one is presenting and investigating the plan about Mr Rouhani’s political incompe! tence, which the president of the Majlis is obstructing…”
