Israeli Gen. Yaacov Amidror: “This represents an exaggerated and uncalculated provocation”

From Asharq al-Awsat, translated today by (and yes, caution on reading translations, of translations…nevertheless interesting bits from Hebrew media appearing in Arabic media.)

“…. [former] head of the national Security Council and his senior consultant, Gen. Yaacov Amidror, did not accept the assassination of the Iranian official. In an interview with the Israeli Hebrew radio, he said: “Such operations must be studied carefully… Although the assassination of a Hezbollah group of cadres…is a pure win, the assassination of an Iranian general is not because this represents an exaggerated and uncalculated provocation. We must expect a definite retaliation but no one knows the extent of form of this retaliation.”
